N°90 Statement Earrings

These handcrafted earrings are not just an accessory—they are a wearable tribute to the intricate beauty of sea anemones, specifically the vibrant and textured species I encountered while diving off Komodo Island. Every design choice was guided by the structure, form, and colors of this stunning marine organism:

• Tentacle-Like Silver Filigree – The delicate, curling silver wirework directly represents the anemone’s waving tentacles. Just like the fine tendrils of the anemone, the filigree adds a dynamic, flowing quality to the design, reflecting the organism's movement underwater.

• Carnelian Gemstone as the Vibrant Base – The deep, rich orange-red hue of the Carnelian gemstone mirrors the body of the anemone. The semi-translucent nature of this stone mimics the way light filters through the anemone’s tissue, revealing depth and layers of color.

• Pearl Droplets Representing Anemone Tentacle Tips – The tiny, dangling pearls at the bottom of the earrings reflect the slightly bulbous, light-colored tips of the anemone’s tentacles. These subtle yet striking elements capture the natural bioluminescence and delicacy found in marine life.

• Agate Accents for Depth and Texture – The use of Agate in the design complements the organic texture seen in the anemone's undulating forms. The gemstone’s natural patterns create a sense of movement, similar to how the anemone sways with ocean currents.

• The Gold-Plated Base as a Nod to the Warmth of Tropical Waters – The earrings are set in a luxurious gold-plated base, representing the warm sunlight that penetrates the reef’s waters. This golden touch also enhances the rich tones of the Carnelian, making the colors pop just as they do in the wild.

• The overall drop earring shape was intentionally crafted to be elongated and free-flowing, mimicking how the anemone expands and contracts in response to touch, just like these earrings gracefully move with the wearer.
