N°004 Statement Earrings - The Living Ocean Colour Collection

My Octopus Muse

I have a long-standing weakness for gloomy octopuses, especially the juveniles — those moody little shape-shifters with their improbable, glowing orange undersides. People casually call them “suckers,” as if they were simple grips, but they’re closer to a roaming sensory laboratory: tasting, touching, chemically decoding the world with every soft contact. Nothing about them is crude. Everything is precision.

When I tried to translate that strange, intelligent beauty into jewellery, peanut jasper immediately took centre stage. Those orbital orange rings feel uncannily alive, like frozen echoes of chromatophores. Geologically, peanut jasper is born from volcanic drama — silica-rich rhyolitic systems where mineral-laden fluids slowly deposit concentric patterns, sourced from Madagascar’s ancient volcanic terrains. Stone as memory. Pattern as accident.

Paired with tiny pearls and warm amber tones of hessonite garnet and set into a silver-plated, the result doesn’t imitate an octopus. It nods to one — to texture, to colour, to that quiet alien elegance that refuses simplification.

The Statement Earrings will be beautifully gift-wrapped and ready as an exceptional gift for yourself or an unexpected gift for someone special.
Why Octopuses Keep Sneaking Into My Designs

Paired with tiny silver pearls and warm carnelian and recycled glass shards, the result doesn’t imitate an octopus (6.1cm long). It nods to one — to texture, to colour, to that quiet alien elegance that refuses simplification.

The Statement Earrings will be beautifully gift-wrapped and ready as an exceptional gift for yourself or an unexpected gift for someone special.
