Classic Pearls meet Octopus– Where Classic Meets Quirky!

 While have spent hundreds of hours underwater with octopuses, I never had the urge to include them into my jewellery. Until recently, when I came across these magnificently carved octopuses in Bali. 
I am stoked with my homage to these amazing creatures, utterly contemporary, edgy and not even a little tacky (at least I hope so).

The monochromatic sensation that makes this “white on white” necklaces work so well is its timeless simplicity.  In ancient Greek, Quartz was called κρύος (kruos) meaning "icy cold" because some philosophers believed the mineral to be a form of supercooled ice – and that is exactly how it looks like!  

In this necklace, the smoothest white pearls are contrasted with raw hand-hammered Quartz crystals and are paired with ample gold and silver-plated findings.  While the eye rests easy carved bone Octopus from Bali, the piece really comes alive through the many contrasting organic white forms. 

Like all our pieces it is handcrafted with love and care in our studio near Byron Bay. This eclectic set is made from the following semi-precious stones and findings:

• Carved bone Octopus from Bali
• Quartz from Australia
• Agates from Brazil
• Pearls from Shanghai and Israel
• Mother of Pearl from India 
• 22k gold-plated beads and findings from Istanbul
• Silver-plated beads from Bali, pendant from Istanbul
• Necklace length: short can be extended via extender chain
• Statement Earrings: 6.2 cm long
• A second pair of simple Pearl earrings is set into sleek & elegant French ear wires, for when you feel like a little less!

Statement bracelets are made to measure, so please make sure to leave size instructions (your wrist circumference at the widest point right over the wrist bone; see photo). Without your wrist measurement I can't finish your order.
