No36 Mother's Day Special Set

I found the juvenile Nautilus shell sitting between Cassava & Bananas on a farmers market in New Caledonia some years back. Someone had carefully cut in in half, sanded it back then polished it to reveal the most exquisite Mother of Pearl. Not only that, the artisan then filled the concave side with black resin - showing off the elaborate architecture of Nautilus shells perfectly (make sure you look at the second image).

My job really was to come up with a design that does both sides justice. Mixed with hand- gilded lava, onyx, agates , raw Quartz & pearls this piece got a “ Mama- wow - just wow” score from my 14 year old daughter .
