The monochromatic sensation that makes this “white on white” necklaces work so well is its timeless simplicity.  In ancient Greek, Quartz was called κρύος (kruos) meaning "icy cold" because some philosophers believed the mineral to be a form of supercooled ice – and that is exactly how it looks like!  In this necklace, the smoothest white pearls are contrasted with raw hand-hammered Quartz crystals and are paired with ample gold and silver-plated findings.  

The eye is drawn to the Moonstone silver-plated cross pendant from Istanbul and the piece really comes alive through the many contrasting organic white forms.  As a nod to practicality this necklace has both gold- and silver plated beads and chains, so this piece can be accessorised with any other jewellery.
