N°919 The Labradorite God of Small Shiny Things Statement Earrings

In these unashamedly contemporary gold & silver earrings, I have set delicately faceted Labradorite – each one of them a little universe of intensely shimmering green-orange-blue with their typical black inclusions – against an organic silver disc. 

Labradorite is probably the most underrated semiprecious stone. Appearing grey at first sight, it shimmers in fiery blue-greens and gold when taken into the light, a light phenomenon that only exists in this stone, aptly called “labradorescence”. The Inuit believe the Northern Lights are captured and now live inside the stone – a myth that much more aptly describes the incredible light interplay of Labradorite. Sleek elegance with Nordic lore – all rolled into one!
