N°91 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

Off Lord Howe Island, I hovered above a cluster of feather duster worms—their plumes unfurling in slow motion, all burnt sienna, coral gold, and bone-white, like the ocean’s own pyrotechnics. They looked fragile, but they moved with tectonic certainty, a reminder that elegance and power often share a pulse.

Those colours and forms became these earrings: slabs of Onyx, rare Australian Mookaite, and Japanese Landscape Jasper, fused through Indian intarsia craft and anchored in 22-karat gold and silver-plated base from Seoul. Above them, drops of Baltic amber catch the light like molten honey trapped mid-breath.

At 7.4 cm long, they carry both reef and range, current and crust. Pieces of the planet dressed in geometry — for those who prefer their jewellery the way nature makes art: quietly precise, defiantly alive.
