Simplicity with a Bang!

Somewhere between a Komodo reef and a volcanic dreamscape, these earrings took shape. The thunder eggs — tiny geode fossils split open to reveal crystalline galaxies — are the earth’s own timekeepers, recording millennia in quartz. The filter-feeding worms that inspired them? The opposite: soft, transient, alive in the rhythm of the tide.

I mounted the stones simply, on hammered vermeil gold bars from Thailand (22k over sterling), adding moonstones from Sri Lanka and a whisper of pearls — little nods to the sea’s quieter brilliance.

At 5.9 cm, they’re short, sharp, and full of tension — like nature’s reminder that permanence and fragility often share the same pulse.
