This set came out of a night dive on the USS Liberty in Tulamben—one of those moments where structure and chance overlap. A cluster of sponges, bryozoans and ascidians formed something that read, unmistakably, as a face—not eerie, just the mind doing what it does best: finding pattern.

Back in the studio, that translated into these extraordinary gold-plated jasper discs. They shift with the light—rose-gold warmth in shade, deep, unapologetic gold in full sun—never fixed, always moving. They anchor the statement earrings and carry through into the necklace as a central accent.

The necklace itself is built as three strands of pearls in deep, night-dive tones—midnight blue, peacock grey, near-black—punctuated with small gold elements from Istanbul that catch light without breaking the line. The strands can be worn individually for restraint, stacked for depth, or connected into one longer, fluid piece.

The earrings follow that same flexibility—bold with the jasper discs when you want presence (5.7cm long), or pared back to a smaller pearl pair when you don’t (5.1cm long).
