This set began with a moment in Tulamben, hovering over an anemone that didn’t quite belong to any palette I knew, its base holding that oceanic turquoise,while its tips shifted into a velvety green, luminous in a way that felt almost constructed against the surrounding blue.

That same tension between softness and structure runs through the piece, anchored by ocean jasper beads I held onto for years because they carried exactly that layered, painterly quality, now set against the dense, faceted depth of Italian vesuvianite, a dark olive green that brings weight and certainty to the line. Peruvian amazonite and African jasper move through the composition, keeping the colour open and fluid, while 22-carat gold-plated elements from Istanbul and gold-toned hematite chevrons introduce warmth and direction without interrupting the flow. The outer necklace carries more presence, threading through a textured gold disc with a double strand that elongates and structures the piece, while the inner necklace sits closer, simpler, allowing the palette to soften when needed; both come with extender chains and can be worn alone, layered, or connected depending on how much you want the colour to speak.
