N°32 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

Some encounters stay with you — like meeting a sea star off Flores that looked less like an animal and more like a cosmic map someone forgot to patent. Its blue constellations of pores and fiery lattices seemed to hum with geometry. Translating that kind of biological precision into jewellery felt like trying to bottle starlight — but I had to try.

The result: 6.1 cm earrings built around Chiastolite from Andalusia, the fabled pilgrim’s stone, its natural cross pattern a quiet miracle of carbon symmetry. It’s paired with milky turquoise chalcedony and blue quartz, set into a silver-plated base from Seoul.

The effect is somewhere between cathedral window and coral microstructure — faith and biology conspiring in mineral form. Proof that sometimes, crossing paths with a sea star really can change your alignment.
