N°166 Christmas 2025 Special Set

Mexico’s Boldest Stone in a Japanese Palette

This set works off a very deliberate tension: warm saturation against disciplined structure. The backbone is Crazy Lace Agate from Chihuahua—one of the few stones that naturally produces this kind of mustard-yellow/tangerine/charcoal marbling without looking retro or loud.
In colour theory, deep yellows paired with black create some of the highest-value contrast our eyes can register; it’s why these tones appear in both Japanese design and mid-century graphics. Crazy Lace just happens to do it organically, and at a quality level that’s hard to find.

The outer necklace takes full advantage of that range: a major agate pendant, raw citrine crystals, Indian tourmaline, Brazilian agates, Indonesian lava, plus a single Krobo glass bead in bright tangerine that hits like punctuation. 22k gold-plated elements and tiny faceted citrines act as controlled highlights—small but intentional.

The inner necklace is the reset button: an understated Crazy Lace pendant and clean onyx rectangles that can sit alone or stack seamlessly. Naturally, you can wear each necklace alone, stack them or connect them to create mid length or long necklace!

Two earring moods mirror the structure: a pared-back pair on long French wires with larimar-blue beads and citrine accents; and the 6.1 cm statement pair—Crazy Lace Agate on a hammered gold disc with a single onyx bead grounding the palette.

The result is contemporary, graphic, and calm despite the colour—the kind of set that slots into personal style without ever sliding into costume.
