N°150 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

I wanted to make something festive that didn’t blink, sing, or require a battery. The inspiration came from one of the ocean’s most perfect designs — the Christmas Tree Polychaete, a tiny reef worm whose twin spirals of gills resemble immaculate little trees. Each plume filters water, each colour shift — crimson, emerald, cream — is pure precision, not decoration.

These earrings grew from that idea of quiet celebration. They combine Sgates from Brazil , pearls from Shanghai, and tiny Indian garnets, grounded by silver-cast stags from Slovakia. The palette reflects the reef itself — nature’s own version of red and green, without a trace of kitsch. The earrings 7.1cm long and set into a silver-plated base.
