Night Fold Earrings

On a night dive, I found a tiny reef fish asleep inside the pleated walls of a barrel sponge—tucked deep into those dense, dusty-rose folds like a secret the reef wasn’t advertising. Barrel sponges aren’t soft décor; they’re ancient filtration systems, moving thousands of litres of water a day, quietly engineering the reef. I felt like I’d walked in on someone mid-dream.

These earrings come from that moment. Agate geode slices from India carry the same saturated salmon and rose tones, cut to reveal depth without spectacle. Above them, an impossible prehnite green—stones from Congo—echo that brief hour when colour sharpens before darkness takes over. Everything is set into a 22-carat gold-plated base from Jaipur and Seoul, warm but controlled (8.2 cm long).
