When I first saw this anemone, its glowing orange oral disc surrounded by aqueous, almost translucent tentacles seemed to radiate both strength and fragility. That encounter became the direct blueprint for these earrings. The fiery geometry of faceted carnelian mirrors the anemone’s intense orange centre, while the cooler translucence of prehnite captures the shifting light that moves through its tentacles.

The silver-plated base anchors the composition, its triangular form echoing both structure and tension in the reef environment. I added a row of granulated silver spheres across the metal, a deliberate nod to the rhythmic patterning in the animal’s anatomy. The interplay of carnelian and prehnite creates a dialogue of warmth and coolness, a balance of contrast that feels alive.

For me, these earrings are not only jewellery but translations of reef encounters into daily life—small, wearable reflections of how light, colour, and form combine in the sea to create wonder.
