There are corals that politely sit in the background, and then there are those velvety, meandering architectures that completely hijack your attention, the kind that look less like an organism and more like a living landscape folding into itself. This piece began exactly there.

The soft lime tones of Canadian lemon jade became my translation of that muted, luminous reef glow, while the watery counterpoint arrived through something far rarer — tiny scheelite stones from Turkey, a mineral born of hydrothermal drama, geological tension turned into colour. The scheelite is set in sterling silver, anchored within a silver-plated base from Seoul and Jaipur, a quiet structural frame for what is essentially a conversation between reef biology and deep-earth chemistry.

At just 6.1 centimetres, these earrings carry that same visual paradox I fell for underwater: softness and structure, fluidity and form, ancient processes disguised as something effortlessly wearable.
