There are moments underwater when colour stops behaving like colour and starts feeling like atmosphere. The mantle of a giant clam does exactly that — an impossibly light, aqueous green, threaded with dark, fluid patterns, as though an alien landscape is slowly breathing just beneath the surface.

 That visual memory found its geological counterpart in prehnite from the Congo, a gemstone whose soft, luminous green carries those same drifting qualities, interrupted by black manganese inclusions that read like shadows moving through translucent tissue.

I grounded the composition with large, smooth pearls, added tiny moonstones as pale flashes of light, and set everything into a silver-plated base sourced from Bali and Jaipur.

 At 7.5 centimetres long, these earrings feel suspended rather than worn — calm, radiant, quietly otherworldly — like carrying a fragment of reef light that refuses to fade back into the background.
