The translucent aqua-green tentacles of this anemone, sheltering its vivid orange clownfish resident, became the blueprint for these earrings. What I wanted to capture was the interplay of contrast: the softness and translucency of the anemone against the saturated brightness of the fish. Ecology here is not just colour—it’s a living partnership, where hues and forms exist in balance.
To mirror that, I chose long drops of chrysocolla, their marbled greens echoing the watery transparency of the tentacles. Above them sit smaller stones—chameleon, agate, and apatite—each selected for their ability to refract light and provide warm accents that nod to the clownfish’s orange glow. The metalwork, in 22k gold plating, frames the stones in delicate loops that suggest the anemone’s undulating form.
For me, these earrings are an expression of symbiosis translated into jewellery—anemone and clownfish, green and orange, reef and design. They hold the memory of connection, resilience, and beauty found in the shallowest coral gardens.
