To echo that living pattern, I chose crackled dragon vein agate from Brazil, stones whose intricate veining reflects the clam’s mosaic-like surface. Each drop of agate holds a sense of movement, like water passing over the mantle. Above them, I placed tiny cubes of jade and peridot, their bright greens recalling the luminescent highlights woven through the tissue. All elements are set in a silver-plated base, chosen to enhance the cool, aqueous tones.

For me, these earrings capture the clam’s quiet grandeur—biology and gemstone woven together into something both intricate and enduring.
