N°073 Statement Earrings - The Vanuatu Collection

The aqueous sweep of these tentacles, mottled in shades of emerald and blue, immediately caught my attention underwater—their fluid, almost serpentine forms seemed to pulse with life.

Translating that movement into jewellery, I began with a small ammonite-inspired silver form, a subtle nod to marine timekeeping and coiled geometry. From there, I set a luminescent moonstone, its shifting light reminiscent of the sheen that dances across the tentacles as they bend and twist. Below, a translucent aqua prehnite captures the very essence of those vivid greens, suspended within a finely detailed silver-plated frame that mimics the organic irregularity of reef surfaces.

For me, this design is not about literal reproduction but about distilling the qualities of the organism—its translucency, its rhythm, its unexpected palette—into an object that can be worn. These earrings become both a memory of the reef and an expression of its ongoing vitality, an interplay of ecology and adornment.
