N°07 Mother's Day 2025 Special Set

Made when the Reef Took a Breath

This set was born from watching a reef ledge during tidal exchange—when the water pulls hard and everything shifts. I was snorkelling off Lord Howe Island and the current had just turned. The reef top algae soft corals were all bending in one direction, fish darting in tight choreography, and wedged between the rocks were Prehnite, Hessonite, Agate & Carnelian hued nodules of organic rocks, smoothed by time and water.

The banded burnt orange Agate tubes evoke that rhythmic, wave-shaped movement—each stone with its own set of lines, like geological echo maps frozen in time. Between them, I've placed tiny prehnite rounds, chosen for their seafoam tint and natural inclusions, like plankton blooms trapped inside stone. At the centre sits a raw Carnelian bead, saturated in colour and impossible to ignore. It’s not subtle—and neither was the reef it came from.

The pendant is made from three bezel-set prehnite stones, climbing in shape from a gentle wave to a sharp drop. That form is intentional—it mimics a reef shelf descending to the blue. It’s asymmetrical, slightly off-centre, just like nature intended.

There are two earring options:

• One is a playful set of mismatched prehnite and garnet, faceted and balanced to create movement while keeping things light (7.3cm long).
• The other? Long, lean Agate tubes with silver and prehnite caps—an echo of the reef ledge itself, bold and structural but smooth to the touch. Subtle, but never shy.

• Prehnite from South Africa
• Carnelian from India
• Agates from Brazil

• Necklaces: short, can be stacked, varied via the extender chain or CONNECTED to create one mid- to long necklace!
