When you love bashful pastel hues!

When I photographed this anemone, I was drawn to the way its tentacles pushed outward in soft clusters against the pink, ridged base. That structure informed the design of these earrings.

The elongated chrysocolla stones carry mottled greens and salmony tones that parallel the anemone’s tentacles rising from a textured surface. The pearls above echo the rounded tips of the tentacles, while the small agates bring in sharp flecks of colour that mimic the fine details you see when you look closely at living tissue. The circular 22k gold-plated frame isn’t decorative for its own sake — it mirrors the way the anemone forms openings and contractions, holding its polyps in rhythmic cycles.
