The Colour Between Sea and Palm

What stayed with me from the Sri Lankan coast was the sheer glory of the colour — turquoise tipping into blue, palms throwing every possible green against it, and that almost physical lift you get from being surrounded by colours that seem brighter than anything the sensible world usually permits.

These irregular pieces ofsea sediment jasper had that same exuberance, with their watery blues, turquoises and shifting mineral patterns, so I paired them with tinylight bottle-green quartz crystals and set them into asilver-plated base, letting the whole piece carry that lush, sunlit coastal palette without trying to turn it into a literal landscape (5.9cm shorties).

What I wanted to carry home from Sri Lanka was that peculiar rush you get when turquoise water, brilliant green palms and hard tropical light all hit you at once, and these earrings bring a little of that same visual electricity to the face, with colour that feels fresh, vivid and genuinely mood-lifting rather than simply decorative.
