Falling for blue is never a coincidence, because long before taste or fashion entered the equation, nervous systems were already tuned to colour as signal rather than decoration; so if these earrings pull you in instantly, that reaction is not preference but evolutionary inheritance, ancient wiring quietly asserting itself.

That same circuitry is what carried me toward the Glaucus, a creature so visually improbable it borders on hallucination. Drifting upside down at the sea surface, Glaucus atlanticus steals both venom and pigment from bluebottles, metabolising danger into beauty, its electric blue and porcelain white forming one of nature’s most surgically precise colour palettes.

These earrings channel that logic. Raw apatite, deliberately left crackled and uneven, fractures light like moving water, while the sharp bezels echo the creature’s impossible geometry. At 7.5 centimetres long, they don’t imitate the Glaucus — they recreate its mesmerising, slightly unreal presence.
