N°013 Statement Earrings - The Vanuatu Collection

The tissue surrounding the mouth of a solitary mushroom coral is one of the reef’s most extraordinary sights. Radiating folds draw the eye toward the centre, where pinks and oranges gather in luminous intensity. This is a structure built for biology, yet it reads almost like a living mandala, a composition of colour and form in constant dialogue with light.

I carried that same geometry into these earrings. The hammered silver spirals mirror the coral’s concentric ridges, while garnet, agate, passionite, and chameleon stone echo its layered pigments. A glowing orange pearl anchors each piece, a nod to the brilliant oral tissues that flare at the coral’s heart.

For me, these earrings embody the transformation of reef ecology into wearable art—a single polyp reimagined in metal and stone, holding both the quiet intensity of coral life and the joy of creative translation.
