N°084 Statement Earrings - The Vanuatu Collection

The feather-duster worms on the reef never fail to stop me in my tracks—their radiating crowns of filaments, finely branched and warm-toned, filter particles from the water with both elegance and efficiency. It is this living architecture, equal parts delicate and functional, that became the blueprint for these earrings. The way the worms unfurl their orange-yellow fans into the current reminded me of the need to design something bold yet airy, structured yet full of movement.

I paired large baroque pearls with their organic, irregular luminosity to reflect the living softness hidden at the worm’s base. Above them, raw citrine offers a crystalline counterpoint, its golden facets resonating with the worm’s warm hues. These stones are suspended from elongated, hammered links in a gold- and silver-plated base—forms that echo the radiating lines of the feeding crown while creating balance and length in the design.

For me, these earrings carry the essence of encounter: a fleeting underwater moment transformed into adornment, where biology and beauty merge seamlessly.
