N°048 Statement Earrings - The Living Ocean Colour Collection

There are colour encounters underwater that feel almost digitally enhanced, except they are not, and colonial ascidians sit squarely in that category with their electric blues, greens, and translucent tissues that look less like organisms and more like living glass architecture. That visual tension — saturated yet weightless, intricate yet fluid — became the blueprint for this pair.

Prehnite from Congo forms the compositional core, its soft, misted green carrying the same diffused luminosity you see in ascidian tissue when light moves through rather than across the surface. Above it, deep cobalt quartz crystals introduce density and contrast, echoing the impossible blues that first lock your eye.
The surrounding silver framework deliberately mirrors biological structure: layered, filigreed, almost skeletal, yet visually light, allowing the stones to behave like suspended colour fields rather than fixed objects.

At 6.6 centimetres long, the earrings extend vertically with clean, deliberate proportions, translating reef architecture into a design that feels both organic and sharply resolved.
