Sponge Inspired Earrings Anyone?

A recent trip to Lord Howe Island brought me face to face with some of the most extraordinary sponges. The texture and 3D-structure of this filter-feeding creature in transitions from rose to pink, with some gray hues create a dreamlike, almost otherworldly effect.

When I came back home, I knew that I would translate this intricate sponge art with some of the most amazing intarsia gemstones bought from an Indian stone artist.
And while these are some of the more expensive earrings stones I bought, I have no regrets whatsoever! Combining Rose Quartz & Hematite in the most delicate masonry work is nothing short of divine!

I added Peruvian Pink Opal & Madagascan Labradorite to make it the perfect Trifecta, set into a silver-plated base (6.8cm long).

Like all our pieces, these one-of-a-kind earrings are handcrafted with love and care in our studio in Lennox Head.
