N°57 Statement Earrings

These handcrafted Carnelian and Amethyst earrings, set in a silver-plated base, were directly inspired by the stunning anemone from Lord Howe Island in the image on the right. From its flaming orange base to its glowing purple tentacle tips, every detail of this anemone has been carefully translated into the materials, structure, and colors of these earrings.

Each part of these earrings reflects a specific aspect of the anemone:

• Large faceted Carnelian gemstones → Represent the anemone’s deep orange base, which serves as a protective structure for the clownfish. The rich, warm hues of the carnelian match the bold coloration of the coral-like base in the image.
• Amethyst accent stones → Mirror the vivid purple tips of the anemone’s tentacles, which stand out dramatically against the orange body. Amethyst’s translucent quality reflects how the tentacles glow when light filters through them underwater.
• Elongated teardrop-shaped amethyst dangles → Imitate the flowing, flexible movement of the anemone’s tentacles as they sway with ocean currents.
• Intricate ammonite shell detail → A nod to marine life’s evolutionary past, adding an extra layer of storytelling to the design.
• Silver-plated setting → Reflects the way light shimmers on the anemone’s tentacles, giving the piece an elegant, polished finish.
