N°51 Statement Earrings

Bluebottle jellyfish never get a good wrap in Australia, but in this case they might just do! 

The luminosity of deep purples and blues of the jellyfish's tentacles are mirrored in the rich violet hues of the Amethyst, Quartz & Labradorite  in the earrings. For me, the gradient of purple fading into translucency in the gemstone echoes the ethereal glow of the jellyfish's delicate tentacles.

The focal point of these earrings are intarsia gemstones from an Indian stone artist. And while these are single-handedly some of the most expensive earrings stones I ever bought, I have no regrets whatsoever! Combining Amethyst & Quartz in the most delicate masonry work is nothing short of divine! 

I believe these earrings translate the mesmerizing luminosity of purple hues of the blue-bottle jellyfish into a wearable piece of ocean art.

I set the stones into a silver-plated base and harmonised them with tiny Agates & Amethysts in this minimalist (7.2cm long) design.

Like all our pieces these one-of-a-kind earrings are handcrafted with love and care in our studio in Lennox Head.
