N°103 Statement Earrings - The Vanuatu Collection

When I first encountered this sea anemone, I was mesmerised by the contrast of its fiery orange tentacles and the delicate green structures radiating from its centre. That chromatic tension—vivid warmth meeting verdant coolness—became the foundation for these earrings. At their base, a polished dragon vein agate drop captures the intricate latticework and mottled greens reminiscent of the anemone’s anatomy.

Stacked above, a hessonite garnet and a tiny peridot provide counterpoints of glowing orange and sharp green, directly echoing the organism’s palette. The open circle of mother-of-pearl and agate lends structural rhythm, a visual reference to the concentric symmetry at the heart of the anemone. All of these elements are anchored in 22k gold plating, which ties the composition together with warmth and luminosity.

For me, these earrings embody both the scientific precision of reef life and the creative translation of its forms into wearable art—an affirmation of colour, structure, and vitality.
