N°079 Statement Earrings - The Sri Lanka Collection

The inspiration for these earrings stems from coming across this  old wooden boat, sitting in water so intensely aquamarine it hardly looks real, while overhead the tropical sky shifts through softer, mistier shades of blue. Nothing is perfectly coordinated, yet somehow the entire palette works magnificently.

I wanted these earrings to capture that same collision of rawness and beauty. Rough aquamarine and quartz sit inside an elaborate gold- and silver-plated framework, their cloudy, irregular surfaces deliberately left to be themselves (6.5cm long). They remind me of fragments of Sri Lankan sea and monsoon sky that someone has broken off and rather extravagantly decided to frame.

Because sometimes you don't need more colour—you need more light.

Like all our pieces, these one-of-a-kind earrings are handcrafted with love and care in our studio in Lennox Head.
