N°847 For the Love of Pearls Statement Earrings

I rarely use casts of marine creatures, but for these incredibly realistic Murex snails I happily make an exception!  Not only are the casts incredibly intricate and full of loving detail,  it is the snail that gave Tyrian purple dye to the world and has a stunning life history in that it hunts other snails. In over a 1000 dives I have only seen them once on a night dive in Fiji - but I shall never forget how truly stunning and elegant this animal is.

• Like all our pieces it is handcrafted with love and care in our studio near Byron Bay. These eclectic limited edition statement earrings are made from the following semi-precious stones and findings:

  • Pearls from Jaipur, India
  • Murex Snail casts (silver-plated) from Seoul
  • 22k gold-plated & base from Jaipur, India
  • length: 7.6cm
