    A Slow Burn in Purple and Fire

    This charoite sat with me for over a decade—held back, not unused—because this rare (and rather expensive) material from the Chara River isn’t something you place lightly. 

    That trigger came diving in Papua New Guinea. An anemonefish held its ground in dense tangerine orange, not flashing, not performing, just fixed inside a lavender anemone carrying that same internal charoite light, the surface reading soft while the structure did the work, tissue defining space without closing it, the fish suspended inside a boundary that never hardened.
    A black-rimmed orange agate now takes that position, holding heat at the centre, while two wings of charoite push in from either side, fibrous, directional, not decorative but active, setting limits, creating pressure without collapse, colour contained inside colour, everything resolved through placement.

    The necklaces are designed to move with you—worn separately for clarity or stacked for depth—and instead of relying on chain alone, I introduced suede ties to complete that quiet 1970s sensibility, softening the structure just enough while adding warmth and ease. They can also be adjusted or extended into a longer line, depending on how you want the piece to sit.

    The earrings extend that same internal logic. There’s a bold triangular pair—black onyx, amethyst and carnelian—clean geometry carrying heat and depth (7cm long). A second pair leans into the purple spectrum with lepidolite, softer on the surface but still structured(4.8cm long). And finally, a smaller, more restrained option—tiny stacked onyx on elegant French ear wires—light, precise, reduced to essentials.

    Nothing here is decorative for its own sake. Every element holds, pushes, balances. It’s a set built on pressure—and the control of it.
