Attraction to colour often masquerades as preference, but biology tells a far more interesting story, because the same neural circuitry that once guided fruit-seeking mammals toward survival-critical signals of ripeness, sugar, and energy still hums quietly beneath our modern aesthetic responses. You are simply hardwired to love this colour combination!

Which, of course, is precisely why I was powerless in that moment underwater, instinctively swimming toward the impossible pairing of a vivid pink anemone rising from a blaze-orange sponge, a combination so visually charged it bypassed analysis entirely and landed as something immediate, visceral, and oddly joyful — the exact same circuitry firing, simply redirected from forest canopy to reef.

These earrings are built from that shared biological reflex. Flamboyant pink Mother-of-Pearl squares hold the luminous intensity of living tissue, recycled glass shards fracture light like moving water, while chameleon and agate beads ground the composition in warmth and pulse. The 22-karat gold-plated base behaves like captured sunlight, amplifying rather than containing the colour story.
