When Geology Starts Speaking Sponge

Some stones politely behave. Peanut obsidian jasper from Madagascar never got that memo. Those deep, saturated orange circles, drifting through a smoky volcanic matrix, look suspiciously intentional, yet they’re pure geology — iron-rich fluids migrating through silica as the lava cooled, precipitating iron oxides that organised themselves into these gloriously improbable orbital forms. 

The real spark, though, came on a night dive. Torch beam slicing through darkness, reef half-asleep, when this sponge appeared — a blazing landscape of luminous orange channels and openings, like a miniature river delta frozen mid-flow. Tiny circular cavities punctuated the surface, each one occupied by delicate coral-like tenants, turning architecture into ecosystem.

The translation felt inevitable. The same circular rhythm, the same visual pulse.
