Snowflake moray eels are not known for domestic arrangements, yet juveniles occasionally suspend territorial instinct and tolerate proximity. In this case, two unrelated individuals — larvae once dispersed for months through open water — occupied the same den, their patterned bodies folding into a single, restless composition of black, white, and muted gold.

That visual rhythm demanded precision rather than interpretation. Snowflake obsidian became the structural core, its volcanic black field fractured by pale cristobalite blooms that mirror the eel’s mottled architecture with striking clarity.

Cut into elongated drops, the stones sit within a gold and silver-plated base whose layered, feathered geometry echoes biological patterning without literal imitation.
Tiny spinel introduces a controlled, dark shimmer, while minute onyx beads sharpen the graphic contrast, tightening the composition into something deliberate and architectural (6.8cm long).

Nothing here is ornamental excess; every element reinforces tension, balance, and flow. Reef patterning, distilled into disciplined metallic structure and mineral geometry.
