The Wild Heart of the Reef

When I slip on this necklace and earrings, I feel like I'm carrying the wild heart of the reef with me — bold, layered, alive. It’s the kind of jewellery that doesn't whisper; it roars with confidence. Perfect for those days when you want to feel connected to something warm & endlessly beautiful.

This piece was inspired by hours spent diving on a coral reef — an underwater city where every surface is busy with life, every colour is dialled up to maximum vibrancy, and every texture tells a story of survival and beauty. That intense mashup of ruggedness and elegance is exactly what I wanted to capture here.

The necklace combines red river jasper, glowing carnelian, striped sardonyx, smoky quartz, sparkling druzy agate, all set into a 22k gold-plated framework. Every bead and stone echoes the rugged textures and shifting hues of the reef walls — from earthy reds and oranges to the deep browns and translucent greys you find in hidden coral crevices. The centrepiece — a handcrafted loop and triquetra celtic knot pendant — captures the endless cycle of life in the reef ecosystem.

Naturally, you can wear each necklace alone, stack them or connect them to create mid length or long necklace!

As for the earrings, you have 3 pairs to choose from, depending on your mood:

• The statement earrings (bottom left) are a warm, lightweight extension of the necklace’s story: featuring Mexican Crazy Lace Agate blades accented with tiny pops of carnelian and gleaming 22k gold-plated findings (6.6cm long).
• Minimalist sardonyx drops with the tiniest Carnelians, like crab eyes during a night dive
• Thirdly, sleek smoky quartz drops, for when you feel like wearing something smaller.

This set is truly yummy & contemporary Mother’s Day set: although inspired by a coral reef it has the comfort & warmth of a pan full of delicious warm vegetables!
