    Here comes the story of this rich orange & warm green set and its coral reef inspiration ( see second image!). When I went diving on some Outer Barrier reefs last month I found myself head down, looking for the smaller & weirder reef creatures while everyone else was observing some sharks that were hanging in the blue around us.
    That's when I came across this otherworldly creature, a Thorny Oyster (Spondylus varius) at 30m depth. Nothing prepares you for the riot of colours in the mantle and the hundreds of bright blue eyes lining it. Yes bright blue eyes and a fast nervous system that responds very fast. I had only 8 minutes bottom time at this depth and so I had to make it count.
    By moving very deliberately and breathing as slowly as I could I managed to capture this rare beauty with tissue that is akin to an abstract painting.

    Ocean Jasper in the exact colours, Carnelians, Agates and of course the delicately  carved Jade pendant are my attempt to translate the Thorny Oyster into jewellery!


    Statement Necklace: short, can be extended through the extender chain from 46-62cm

    Statement bracelets  are made to measure, so please make sure to email me your wrist size after you ordered(your wrist circumference at the widest point right over the wrist bone; see photo).
