The forest-like sweep of tentacles in this anemone has always struck me as both delicate and commanding, a living architecture of fluid lines and gradients. Translating that ecology into jewellery, I sought a stone that could echo its complexity—and found it in African jade. Its deep, green veining is almost a mirror of the tentacle’s aqueous structure, a natural cartography of currents captured in stone.

I paired these bold slabs of jade with a soft drop pearl, evoking the quiet balance between reef strength and fragility, and accented the composition with a tiny human stone from Sri Lanka, a subtle but grounding detail. The elongated, open frame of 22k gold-plated metal holds the elements lightly, echoing the suspension of tentacles drifting in water.

These earrings carry the memory of that underwater forest—fluid, breathing, and alive—distilled into pieces that invite you to wear the rhythm of the reef in everyday life.
