N°091 Statement Earrings - The Vanuatu Collection

The flowing tentacles of this anemone, with their soft green translucence, and the flash of its resident orange anemonefish became the blueprint for these earrings. What captivated me was the rhythm of the tentacles: elongated, tapered, and in constant motion, offering both shelter and contrast to the tangerine fish. That ecological intimacy—a protective host and its vivid guest—translated directly into my design choices.

The earrings feature long, banded pieces of high-quality African jade, their marbling echoing the fluid textures of the anemone’s tissue. To this I added hessonite, agate, carnelian and peridot, strung in a cascade that recalls both the colour shifts within the tentacles and the warm burst of the fish’s orange form. Set into a 22-carat gold-plated base, the structure provides strength while framing the delicate interplay of stone and metal.

For me, these earrings embody coexistence: movement and stillness, shelter and boldness, reef and design woven into something both grounded and luminous.
