N°47 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

These earrings are an ode to the ocean’s quiet architects. The design began with a mesmerizing encounter with filter-feeding polychaetes, their feathery spirals blushing pink beneath the sea, impossibly delicate, like underwater cherry blossoms. Their form became the muse.
The Rhodonite from Madagascar, with its blush-and-ink inclusions, mirrors that fleeting fragility—each pattern as unique as a tide or breath. Paired with watermelon tourmaline from India, the stones are set in 22k gold- and silver-plated bases from Istanbul and Seoul and are 6.9cm long.

In Japan, Rhodonite embodies wabi-sabi—beauty in imperfection—and mono no aware, the awareness of life’s transience. I would like to think that these earrings carry that philosophy: organic geometry, transient grace, and balance between restraint and shimmer.
