When the Reef Looked Back

I met this porcelain crab while diving off Komodo, tucked into an anemone like it owned the entire "place". Pale shell, warm orange and salmon markings, eyes fixed on mine with the calm confidence of something that knew exactly where it belonged. The anemone swayed around it, tentacles opening and closing, and for a moment the reef felt slightly tilted, as if I’d stepped into a private room I wasn’t meant to find.

That colour stayed with me. It reappears here in a small agate thunder egg, rose and salmon toned, still crystallising inside—more time capsule than stone. Quartz adds clarity. Carnelian brings heat. Set into a silver-plated base and measuring 5.8 cm, the earrings stay light, compact, and quietly peculiar.
