When Jewellery Becomes Sculpture

This is one of my favourite pieces of the new collection—and predictably, one of the hardest to photograph, because it refuses to flatten itself into something obedient. I’ve been holding onto that quartz cluster—the centrepiece—for nearly a decade. A constellation of tiny rock crystals, titanium-touched into that quiet rainbow sheen, finally finding its moment.

The muse was a juvenile leather jacket—those gold-and-white flashes, the delicate armour, the improbable appendages that feel both sculptural and alive. That language translated itself into stone, into pearl, into rhythm.

Two necklaces anchor the set: a shorter one with a luminous moonstone centre, and the larger, more elaborate piece built around that quartz cluster. Wear them stacked when you want presence. Wear each alone when you feel like restraint. Or connect them into one long, fluid necklace that shifts the entire silhouette.

Three pairs of earrings, three moods:

– a fine, elongated French ear wire with a single pearl—quiet, elegant, understated;

– raw quartz crystal drops where the stones do all the talking (4.7cm long);

– and a timeless statement pair—three long Biwa pearls, each set into a 22k gold-plated base (6cm long).

Gold and silver play together. Rock quartz, moonstone, pearls—nothing shouting, everything humming.

Wild, yes. But also timeless, composed, and endlessly adaptable—leather jacket or black dress, it doesn’t care.
