N°129 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

Evolution telling you these earrings are delicious.

These 6.8-centimetre wonders are basically wearable solar systems—minus the risk of being hit by an asteroid. Each earring features garnet, Brazilian agate, Shanghai pearls, Indian carnelian beads, and a drop of opaque tangerine recycled glass drops, all orbiting inside silver circles that actually move. Yes, they spin and they are very lightweight.

Their circular choreography was inspired by a Scolymia coral I came across off Lord Howe Island—an outrageously colourful creature glowing in oranges, magentas, and reds like it had raided a fruit platter at midnight. Naturally, I had to honour that palette. After all, as fruit-loving mammals, we’re biologically programmed to lose our minds over these colours.
