N°113 Christmas 2025 Special Earrings

Some designs just refuse to be out-designed. Take the sea star I found of the Isle of Flores — a living tessellation of electric blue lenses embedded in bronze and umber skin. Its surface looks less like biology and more like an alien microchip dreamt up by Gaudí. I found one while diving off Indonesia, and it short-circuited my sense of order in the best possible way.

These 7.5 cm earrings translate that revelation: tiger’s eye in all its molten symmetry, framed by silver-plated forms from Jaipur and Seoul, and crowned with tiny Indian blue quartz crystals. Even the silver knobs echo the sea star’s architecture — deliberate, geometric, a little audacious.

It’s proof that sometimes nature doesn’t just inspire design — it beats it at its own game. I simply followed the pattern.
