    This piece is a monochromatic & contemporary nod to the women who love their pearls a little more on the wild side!
    The eye rests easy on the triple Mother-of-Pearl pendant from India, sleek freshwater Pearls from Shanghai & Israel, Moonstones from Sri Lanka, and sleek silver and gold beads from Bali and Istanbul respectively.
    And although it is the interplay of all components that makes this necklace a little extra special, the Marine Biologist in me has to point out  to you the delicate nature and lustre of stick Biwa Pearls. The technique, originally developed in Japan by the father of pearl culture, Mikimoto, is now carried out all over the world. A piece of tissue (in the shape of a stick) taken from one pearl oyster is transplanted into the mantle of another pearl oyster. There of course it is rejected, and in the most wonderful immune response, nacre is deposited all over the foreign object to give rise to the moststunning elongated pearls. What a story combined with such eye candy! 
    This eclectic necklace is simple summer fun – ready to be paired with a simple pair of jeans and a white short or to be dressed up on that little black dress for a big night out. 
    Like all our pieces, it is handcrafted with love and care in our studio in Lennox Head and is made from the following semi-precious stones and findings:
    • Pearls from Israel & Shanghai
    • Moonstone from Sri Lanka
    • Mother-of-Pearl pendant from India
    • 22k gold-plated base from Istanbul
    • maximum 1/20 limited edition
    • Approximate length (laid out straight): shortest length 38cm - extendable to 56cm via extender chain.

      The Madame Pearl has a New Lover Statement Necklacewill be beautifully gift-wrapped and ready as an exceptional gift for yourself or an unexpected gift for someone special. We to make each piece as closely as possible to the one shown in the image. However, since we are working with natural stones, each piece is a little bit different and that's just the way we like it.
