Underwater Flatworm Glamour: Onyx & Moonstone Earrings in Motion

I don’t know if there are many earrings in this world that are inspired by vivacious marine flatworms, but these certainly are! During a full moon night snorkel on Lord Howe Island, we came across this most elegant black and white striped flatworm, as if she was ready to go out to the Opera in a ballgown (see second image).

The design features two triangular black onyx stones, representing the flatworm's dark, sleek body and bold stripes. Below, larger triangular moonstones mimic the shimmering light and fluidity of the white frilly tissue. The silver settings and delicate links create a sense of movement, mirroring the flatworm’s smooth, undulating glide through the water.
