N°1420 Statement Earrings

My favourite gemstone is Labradorite with its Dr Jekyll & Mr Hide personality, in which the right light turns a grey stone into a fiery shimmering gemstone. Also, the lore & chemistry of this gemstone are mesmerising: In various cultures and spiritual traditions, Labradorite is considered a stone of transformation, intuition, and mystical insight. The concept of carrying the Northern Light within symbolizes the idea that Labradorite holds a connection to the cosmic and spiritual realms - which I love.

Chemically speaking, when light enters the layers of Labradorite, it encounters thin structures within the stone that refract and scatter the light. This interaction produces the iridescent display of colors that seem to shift and dance as the stone is viewed from different angles. This optical effect is what gives rise to the stone's labradorescence and its resemblance to the Northern Lights.

So what's not to love- stunning looks, a fascinating lore and intriguing chemistry? In this case, the Labradorites are set into an organic coral colony look-alike and complemented by tiny faceted Amethysts.
