There is simply no more uplifting colour combination than brilliantly hued tangerine, orange, crimson, magenta, and ruby. If you are looking for a bright, pick me up whatever-comes- my-way-piece, this statement necklace is for you! The inspiration for this necklace stems from 8 hours spent in a coral reef tidal pool in New Caledonia – filled from top to bottom with pink and orange anemones. I can also fill you in on a little secret: the reason why you are attracted to these colours, is because they represent a “basket full of ripe fruit”, something evolution has taught you to love! Colourful fruit like oranges, cherries, plums, peaches, … have attracted us since the earliest mammal evolution. In the very same way, this feel-good necklace has drawn you in. These colour hues are life-affirming and yummy for us humans and that is exactly what I tried to achieve with tangerine Carnelians, vermillion Garnet, fuchsia Agates & magenta Pearls Besides basic Ecology they look great with any black outfit – that little black dress or that black wool jumper in winter!
